JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 07-04-2021 The present petition has been filed for modifying the order dated 01.07.2020 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 14495 of 2020 to the extent that the time granted to the petitioner to surrender before the learned court below be extended by a further period of four weeks from today.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on account of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the petitioner could not surrender before the learned court below within the stipulated time period, resulting in expiry of the time period granted to him to surrender.

No.23329 of 2021(2) dt.07-04-2021 2/2 Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the averments made in the present petition, I deem it fit and proper to extend the time period granted to the petitioner to surrender before the learned court of S.D.J.M. Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Complaint Case No. 2601 of 2018, by a further period of four weeks from today.

Accordingly, the order dated 01.07.2020 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 14495 of 2020 stands modified. The petition stands allowed.
