Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within a period of four weeks from today.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Singhia P.S. Case No. 200 of 2022 registered for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 28.01.2023 and there is a recovery of 212.205 liters of foreign liquor.

Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the period of custody and the recovery of liquor, this application for regular bail is allowed. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16639 of 2023(2) dt.10-05-2023 2/2 after completing one year in custody and after framing of charge whichever is later, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Excise Judge-I, Samastipur in connection with Singhia P.S. Case No. 200 of 2022.

The petitioner will visit concerned Police Station on the first Sunday of each month. Any default in appearance at the Police Station would result in cancellation of bail bond of the petitioner.

The District Judge, Samastipur is directed to expedite the trial of all the five cases pending against the petitioner.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the District Judge, Samastipur, through FAX and e-mail for its compliance forthwith.
