While granting bail to the petitioners by order dated 07.06.2018, the trial court was directed to expedite and conclude the trial within a maximum period of six months. By letter dated 06.12.2018 from Addl. Sessions Judge IV, Darbhanga prayer has been made for extension of time by further eight months for conclusion of the trial.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33293 of 2018(3) dt.19-12-2018 2/2 On a perusal of the letter of the Sessions Judge, Darbhanga, this Court does not approve such casual approach of the court below. However, as a matter of last indulgence, time is extended by further period of four months. The trial court is required to conclude the trial on day to day basis within the time granted.
