The petitioner's pickup van is said to have been seized in connection with Malsalami P.S. Case No. 71/2021 registered for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.

Petitioner has filed this writ application for release of the said vehicle.

In such view of the matter, this application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to approach appropriate criminal court for release of his vehicle, if no confiscation proceeding has been initiated.
