The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Maniyari Police Station Case No. 193 of 2019, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

This is the second attempt on behalf of the petitioner for grant of regular bail. Earlier, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order, dated 15.04.2021, passed in Criminal Misc. No. 6321 of 2021. The allegation, as per the First Information Report, is that the petitioner fired upon the father of the informant due to which he died in the hospital.

Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17403 of 2022(3) dt.11-05-2022 2/2 the main assailant, I am not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner, at this stage.

This application is, accordingly, dismissed.

However, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after nine months if the trial does not show any progress. The learned Court below is directed to take necessary steps for completion of the trial as early as possible preferably within a period of nine months from today.
