In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Chhapra Mufassil P.S. Case No.49 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 467, 468, 469, 471, 420, 384, 386, 120(B) and 34 of Indian Penal Code. As per the F.I.R. the informant is the owner of the land. When the informant has gone to construct a boundary over the said land, the accused persons came there and started abusing and assaulting him. They also demanded extortion money from the informant and in the event of non-payment of extortion money, they threatened for dire consequences. It has also been alleged that they used to threaten the land owners on the basis of forged and fabricated deed of land.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.37027 of 2018(2) dt.05-07-2018 2/2 Looking to the nature of allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within four weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
