The petitioners seek pre-arrest bail in connection with Daraunda P.S. Case No. 310 of 2015 registered under sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 384, and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Regard being had to the serious nature of allegation that the petitioners not only demanded extortion amount of rupees one lac but they also assaulted her on her head as a result of which she sustained injuries for which she was undergoing treatment in Emergency Ward of Sadar Hospital, Siwan, I am not inclined to grant them pre-arrest bail.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21114 of 2016 (2) dt.24-05-2016 Accordingly, their application preferred under section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is, hereby, rejected with observation that in case the petitioners surrender and seek regular bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced, in any manner, by the order of this Court.
