The petitioner seeks bail in Parsa P.S. case No. 141 of 2017 (S. Tr. No. 637 of 2017) instituted for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 302 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The earlier bail applications of the petitioner were rejected vide Annexure-1 series to the present application taking into account that the petitioner was an assailant. A report was called for from the Trial Court. It has been reported that all the witnesses have been examined except the Investigation Officer and the trial is likely to be concluded within a period of three months.

On behalf of the State, it is submitted that the

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is rejected. The Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps to conclude the trial at earliest preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra and the Superintendent of Police, Saran at Chapra are also directed to take necessary steps to produce the witnesses on the date fixed in the Trial Court so that the trial could be concluded within the stipulated period.

Let this order be communicated to the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra and the Superintendent of Police, Saran at Chapra.
