====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 09-05-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Chainpur P. S. Case No. 231 of 2024 in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304(B), 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. It is a case of dowry death. As per the prosecution case, daughter of the informant was married with this petitioner seven years ago. Thereafter, it is alleged that all the F.I.R. named accused persons including this petitioner killed the daughter of informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. Petitioner,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16194 of 2025(3) dt.09-05-2025 2/2 being husband of the deceased, has been made accused with an ulterior motive. Informant is not an eye witness of the occurrence and F.I.R. is based on hearsay information. As a matter of fact, on the alleged date of occurrence, petitioner was not present in the village and deceased herself committed suicide. Petitioner is in custody since 27.06.2024.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposed the bail application and submitted that petitioner is none other than husband of the deceased and there is specific accusation that this petitioner along with other accused persons committed murder of his wife.

6. Considering the nature of accusation and gravity of the offence, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Navya/- U T
