Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the concerned respondent viz. the Sub- Divisional Officer, Rosara, Samastipur (respondent no. 3) to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of license to run a Fair Price Shop on compassionate ground.

3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that her father-in-law died during the tenure of the license to him to run the PDS shop. The death had occurred before the deceased having completing 58 years. The application for grant of license on such compassionate ground was made sometimes in the year

Patna High Court CWJC No.4895 of 2019 dt.23-05-2019 2/2 2014, but till date no decision has been taken in that regard. The prayer therefore made on behalf of the petitioner therefore is that the aforesaid application be disposed of by the concerned respondent viz. the SubDivisional Officer, Rosara, Samastipur (respondent no. 3) within a reasonable period of time, preferably within a period of three months of the passing of this order.

4. The prayer made on behalf of the petitioner appears to be reasonable.

5. The respondent no. 3 is directed to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for grant of license on compassionate ground in accordance with law with a reasoned order, preferably within a period of three months of the receipt/production of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction/observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
