2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sheikhpura Mahila P.S. Case No.22 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Sections 498(A)/34 of the IPC and 3⁄4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. Prosecution case, in short, is that the accused persons including the petitioner tortured and assaulted the informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner is the husband of the victim. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21198 of 2024(2) dt.21-03-2024 2/2 custody since 07.08.2023 and has no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is ready to keep her wife (O.P. No.2) with full dignity and honour. The present case has been lodged for oblique reason.

5. Learned APP for the State has vehemently opposes the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and period of custody undergone by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of court below/concerned court in connection with Sheikhpura Mahila P.S. Case No.22 of 2020.
