====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ALOK KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 25-06-2026 Heard the petitioner in person through online mode, learned counsel for the Bihar Sanskrit Shiksha Board and learned counsel for the respondent-State.

2. With the consent of both the parties, this writ application is being disposed of at this stage itself.

3. This writ application has been filed by the petitioner,

Patna High Court CWJC No.4417 of 2026(2) dt.25-06-2026 2/3 seeking writ of mandamus for directing the Bihar Sanskrit Shiksha Board to correct and update the petitioner's name in his Madhyama Examination Certificate, which was issued in 2011.

After advancing some argument, the petitioner, who appears in person through online mode, submits that for seeking the aforesaid relief, the petitioner has already filed a representation dated 22.08.2025 (Annexure-P/23) before the Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna (respondent no. 3) and as per the petitioner, the same continues to be pending. He, therefore, submits that an appropriate direction be given to the Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna (respondent no. 3) to decide his pending representation, within a fixed time frame, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.

5. To the aforesaid submission being made by the petitioner, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State and learned counsel appearing for the Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna do not have any objection.

Considering the limited nature of prayer being made by the petitioner, this writ application is disposed of directing the Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna (respondent no. 3) to dispose of the pending representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2025 (Annexure-P/23) within three months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order by the petitioner, after

It is made clear that in case, the petitioner is found entitled to the relief, which the petitioner has claimed through the pending representation, the same shall be extended to the petitioner within a further period of four weeks from the date of passing of the final order by the Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna (respondent no. 3).

8. In case, the representation dated 22.08.2025, which has been brought on record by way of Annexure-P/23, is not available in the office of Secretary, Bihar Sanskrit Shikhsha Board, Patna (respondent no. 3) for the purpose of carrying out this order, then this Annexure-P/23 should be considered as the pending representation of the petitioner and appropriate steps be taken as indicated above.

9. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of. All pending interlocutory application(s), if any, shall also be deemed to have been disposed of. (Alok Kumar Sinha, J) kundan/- U
