Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court, vide order dated 17.7.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 27094 of 2017 on merit. The petitioner is husband, the case is of dowry death and the death is due to strangulation. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the trial has not been concluded and up till now only two witnesses have been examined out of 08 charge-sheeted witness and there is no likelihood of conclusion of the trial in near future. The petitioner is in custody since 9.12.2016. Heard learned A.P.P. as well as from perusal of the order, it appears that only two witnesses have been examined till 13.7.2018..

No.41082 of 2018 (3) dt.25-07-2018 2/2 In such view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, however, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conduct it on regular basis so that the trial may be concluded within a reasonable period. With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
