The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 354(D), 509(B), 386, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 66(E), 67(A) of I.T. Act.

As per F.I.R., the informant is a student and on 27.01.2022, she was harassed on different social media platform as well as upon whatsapp by the petitioner. It is further alleged that on 29.08.2022, this petitioner raised demand of Rs. 2,05,000/- (two lacs five thousand) from the informant. The informant lodged a complaint against petitioner, thereafter, the petitioner through his mobile again demanded Rs. 15 lacs and threatened her with dire consequences and also made her picture viral on Instagram.

Both petitioner and informant are students of same college. The allegation of demanding ransom of Rs. 25 lacs from mobile number 7903764590 is falsified from the fact that said mobile was already seized by the police in connection with Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 124 of 2022.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances as well as nature of dispute, in the event of arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, let the above named petitioner be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 274 of 2022, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
