JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 01-06-2020 The petitioner, who is the husband of the informant / Opposite Party No. 2, seeks bail in connection with Punpun P. S. Case No. 181 of 2019 dated 17.07.2019 instituted for the offences under Sections 498A and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the marriage was solemnized under threat, for which an informatory petition also was filed on behalf of the petitioner before the Chief Judicial

The petitioner, contrary to the allegation, is being pressurized to part with huge sum of money by Opposite Party No. 2 and her parents.

The petitioner is in custody 02.12.2019.

The petitioner is also not averse to the idea of amicable settlement of the dispute with Opposite Party No. 2.

Considering the afore-stated facts, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Masaurhi, Patna in connection with Punpun P. S. Case No. 181 of 2019.
