The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Danapur P.S. Case no. 953 of 2022 for the offence under Sections 457 and 380 of the I.P.C. lodged on 04.09.2022 by the informant Nishkarsh Verma.

The prosecution story, in brief, is that the informant alleged that he was residing at the second floor of the house of Captain V. N. Prasad since last 15 years and was sleeping with his family members and the main gate of the room was left open. When his mother awoke at about 4:00 am, she saw two 'almirahs' in the second room were opened. Thereafter, she woke up all the family members and they went to the second room and found gold ornaments and Rs. 50,000/- missing.

Considering the kind of allegation that has been levelled against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant him privilege of anticipatory bail, which is accordingly rejected.
