1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1. That this writ application is being filed for issuance of writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions to the respondents to correct the date of entry into the cadre in place of 1.4.1988 to 1.7.1981 and further to consider the case of the petitioner afresh for fixing the date of entry into the cadre in the light of the order bearing Memo No. 2982/P02 dated 21.5.1986 and fix the seniority of the petitioner and accordingly the petitioner be given all the promotional benefit as well as Monetary benefit

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
