The petitioner is in custody in connection with Yadavpur (Jadopur) P.S. Case No. 136 of 2019 for the offence under Sections 394, 411, 326 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1-b) a, 27/35 of the Arms Act.
Allegation against the petitioner is that he was involved in loot of bag containing Rs.2,90,000/- at the point of Katta.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 02.01.2020. He further submits that the petitioner was not named in the F.I.R. and his name surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused. He also submits that nothing has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

No.17687 of 2020(2) dt.03-06-2020 2/2 Considering the fact that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent, nothing has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner and his name surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Gopalganj in connection with Yadavpur (Jadopur) P.S. Case No. 136 of 2019 with the condition that the petitioner on release will render his service as volunteer for a period of three months in dedicated Covid Hospital.
