The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Lauriya P.S. Case No.232 of 2022 registered for the offence under Section 395 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the petitioner is to have looted a sum of Rs. 14,30,000/- of the informant, on the point of pistol and knife.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner has falsely been implicated in the present case, where, petitioner was not named in the FIR and his name surfaced on the basis of confessional statement of other co-accused person, namely, Ajit Prasad. It is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19007 of 2024(2) dt.21-03-2024 2/2 submitted that nothing recovered from the conscious physical possession of this petitioner and he is remanded in the present case from another case. It is further submitted that petitioner is in custody since 15.02.2023.

Learned APP appearing for the State, opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. 6.

Considering the facts and circumstances and submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, let the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail, after commitment of the case, in connection with Lauriya P.S. Case No.232 of 2022 on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District and Sessions JudgeIV, Bettiah, West Champaran. 7.
