The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Deep Nagar P.S. Case No. 11 of 2022 registered for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

There is allegation of selling illicit liquor against coaccused Santosh Mahto, son of Late Bhandari Mahto and not against the petitioner and this petitioner is said to be one of the persons who was found running away. Co-accused Santosh Mahto was seen selling illicit liquor. The petitioner has clean antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid facts, this application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

No.18539 of 2022(2) dt.22-04-2022 2/2 Accordingly, let petitioner, above-named, in the event of his arrest or surrender within four weeks from today, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Court 1st, Biharsharif, Nalanda in connection with Deep Nagar P.S. Case No. 11 of 2022, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
