The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.(A)i. To quash the notification dated 05.05.2015 passed by the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Government of Bihar, Patna vide Letter No. 230226 whereby and whereunder it has been notified that the time period of

Patna High Court CWJC No.9689 of 2015(2) dt.17-08-2023 2/3 the panel constituted for the purpose of appointment of Gramin Awaas Sahayakas, Rural Accommodation Supervisor and Accounts Assistant, on contractual basis, has matured and thus fresh process shall be initiated for the purpose of appointment against the existing vacancies.

(B) (i) To direct the Respondents to consider the petitioners against the existing vacancies.

(ii) To hold that the Petitioners are named in the waiting list and their non adjustment against waiting list is arbitrary and discriminatory and therefore they are eligible candidates for appointment to the said posts against such vacancies.

(iii) To hold that the delay in appointment has been deliberately done by the Respondents in spite of repeated reminders to complete the process in time and due to the said delay the Petitioners should not be made to suffer."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ

Patna High Court CWJC No.9689 of 2015(2) dt.17-08-2023 3/3 petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
