JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 20-04-2022 The petitioner has alleged disobedience of an order dated 11.10.2018 passed in CWJC No. 10528 of 2017. By the said order, the writ application filed by the petitioner was disposed of with a direction to the Registrar, B.R.A., Bihar Univesity to take a decision on the petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2016.

The dispute relates to donation of land by the

Patna High Court MJC No.908 of 2019(3) dt.20-04-2022 2/2 petitioner in favour of the G.M.H.P. College, Bagha. The said representation dated 18.07.2016 has been rejected. Learned counsel for the petitioner has attempted to persuade this Court that the rejection is based on non-cogent grounds and, therefore, this Court should proceed in the matter by initiating contempt proceeding against the Registrar of the University.

I do not find any merit in such contention. There was a direction for the Registrar to take a decision by this Court which has been taken. Correctness of the said decision cannot be a subject matter of a contempt proceeding unless it is shown that the decision is in contravention of any direction issued by this Court. No case for initiation of contempt proceeding is made out.

This application is accordingly dismissed.
