BAJANTHRI ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 25-03-2022 The matter is heard via video conferencing due to circumstances prevailing on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the instant petition, petitioners have prayed for the following reliefs:- "For issuance of appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondents for compassionate appointment of petitioner no.

1 on the post of constable, and to set aside the order of rejection of compassionate appointment of petitioner no. 1 if any and for grant of all consequential benefits."

On 14.02.022, the following order was passed:-

Learned counsel for the petitioner is hereby directed to furnish copy of the scheme of compassionate appointment so as to examine whether petitioner has any vested right to claim compassionate appointment with reference to the post of Bal Aarkshi.

List this case on 21.03.2022."

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted on instruction that petitioners are not in a position to apprise this Court that they have a vested right and with reference to relevant Rules/Guidelines in respect of compassionate appointment, therefore, petition stands dismissed. Petitioners are at liberty to file fresh petition as and when they come across the relevant Rules/Guidelines in respect of compassionate appointment. (P. B.
