1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to grant promotion to petitioner on the post of Medical Social Worker with effect from 19.12.1995 at least at par with several junior persons to petitioner has been granted such promotion.

(ii) For issuance of an appropriate writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing the respondents that after grant of the

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondentauthorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
