1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. By a common judgment dated 13.10.2023, passed in C.W.J.C no.15060 of 2019 (Sudhakar Jha vs. the State of Bihar and others) and analogous cases, the Constitutional validity of the Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of ceiling and Acquisition of Surplus Land) (Amendment) Act, 2016 has been upheld.
3. So far as the instant cases are concerned, either the Constitutional validity of the Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of ceiling and Acquisition of Surplus Land) (Amendment) Act, 2016 has been challenged or in addition thereto a direction has been sought to the authority concerned to dispose of the pending applications under section 45B of the Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling Area and Acquisition of Surplus Land) Act, 1961.
4. The Constitutional validity of the Bihar Land Reforms (Fixation of ceiling and Acquisition of Surplus Land) (Amendment) Act, 2016 having been upheld, in view of Clause
14/14 5 thereof ie the newly added section 45D, the Court finds no illegality in the orders impugned holding that the proceedings have abated.
5. These writ applications stand dismissed.
