1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(I) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondents to allow the pay-scale of Fitter-1 to the petitioner in view of the fact that similarly situated employee in the department granted payscale of Fitter-1 to them. (II) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondents to produce the service book of the petitioner and after production of the same a copy of which be provided to the petitioner.

(III) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
