The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "i)To issue an appropriate writ(s)/order(s)/direction(s) including a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the order dated 28.03.2016 passed in Case No. 74089/2012-13 by the State Information Commission and communicated to the petitioner vide Memo No. 34 dated 01.04.2016 by the State Information Commission (as contained in Annexure-5 to this writ application). ii) To issue an appropriate writ(s)/order(s)/direction(s) including a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to recover the penalty amount of Rs.

Patna High Court CWJC No.9378 of 2016(2) dt.18-10-2023 2/2 25,000/- from the petitioner and also direct the respondent authorities to pay the salary etc. to the petitioner forthwith, as the same has been stopped on account of the aforesaid order dated 28.03.2016 passed by the State Information Commission."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted, by referring to paragraph no.9 of the counter affidavit filed in the present case, that after the petitioner had deposited the fine amount of Rs.25000/-, as awarded by the State Information Commission, Patna, the entire arrears of salary of the petitioner has stood paid to him, hence the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.
