Petitioner is in jail custody since 27.7.2018 in connection with Sonepur Rail P.S. Case No. 91 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8 / 20 / 22 of the Narcotics Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act. The trial court has reported that the case of this petitioner is pending for argument.

Considering this aspect of the matter, that in huge quantity ganja was recovered and now the case of the petitioner is on the verge of conclusion, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail and, accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

It is made clear that if the case of the petitioner is not disposed of within the above stated period of four months, petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
