The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 341, 323, 376, 377, 313, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

On the false promise of marriage, the accused continuously procured sexual intercourse with the informant, due to which, she became pregnant and on persuasion, her pregnancy was aborted.

It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case due to village politics. Petitioner never performed any marriage with the informant or established any physical relation with her.

However, learned counsel for the informant vehemently opposes the bail petition and submits that there is

No.17065 of 2023(3) dt.24-06-2023 2/2 specific and direct allegation against this petitioner of establishing physical relation with informant on false assurance of marriage and thereafter, demanding Rs. 10 lacs, as dowry. Considering the nature of accusation and gravity of the offence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of petitioner is rejected.
