The only grievance of the petitioner is that although he applied for arms licence for a pistol/revolver under the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 and the Rules framed thereunder before the District Magistrate, Siwan on 22.5.2013 and though the concerned authorities have recommended in his favour but no final order has been passed and the application has remained pending.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking note of the grievance raised, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Siwan to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of arms licence in the
Patna High Court CWJC No.15290 of 2014 (2) dt.23-01-2015 backdrop of the recommendation received from the statutory authorities and dispose of the same in accordance with law and after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
