JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 16-11-2017 The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Jakkanpur P.S. Case No. 172 of 2017, registered for offences punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation is of committing theft of vehicle of the informant.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner has not been named in the F.I.R, his name has surfaced on confession of other co-accused and nothing has been recovered from his possession and though he is accused in seven more cases but has been named in those cases after arrest in this case. Further petitioner has been in custody since 08.07.2017 in this case. Heard learned A.P.P. also.

Having heard both sides, considering the facts and

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.54548 of 2017 (2) dt.16-11-2017 circumstances of the case and also the fact that petitioner is accused in seven other cases, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail, his application for regular bail is, accordingly, dismissed.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it within a period of six months and if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail in the court below itself. (Vinod Kumar Sinha, J) sunil/- U T
