JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 31-07-2024 Heard Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Lalan Kumar, learned A.P.P. appearing on behalf of the State and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the opposite party no.2.
2. The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Begusarai (Town) P.S. Case No. 607 of 2023, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that taking into consideration the nature of
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.22361 of 2024(3) dt.31-07-2024 2/3 allegation made against the petitioner, the petitioner is ready for negotiation and the matter be referred to the District Mediation Centre.
4. Considering the aforesaid submission made on behalf of the petitioner, as well as, willingness of the opposite party no. 2, the learned District Court concerned is directed to refer the matter before the concerned District Mediation Centre for amicable settlement of the business transaction, in which, the informant has claimed certain dues, which is payable by the petitioner as a result of sale proceed of Maize.

It is expected that both the parties will appear before the Mediator on 07.08.2024 at 04:00 p.m. and, thereafter, both the parties will try to resolve their dispute amicably well within a period of six weeks considering the fact that petitioner has admitted that the Maize was loaded on the truck for transportation of the same at its destination and the petitioner had also received Rs. 10,000/- in cash from the informant, in advance.
6. Till that period, no coercive step shall be taken against the petitioner in connection with the aforesaid case. In case, the mediation fails, the interim protection granted to the petitioner shall lose its force.

7. Accordingly, the present bail application is disposed of.
