2. The petitioner is apprehending arrest in connection with Makhdumpur P.S. Case No. 279/2023 instituted under Sections 306(B)/120(B), 34 of the I.P.C. lodged on 11.09.2023 by the informant, Umakant Kamal.

3. As per the prosecution story, the allegation is that the sister of the informant was married to Dipu Paswan in the year 2014, but was always tortured for dowry and on 03.04.2023, her dead body was found lying at her matrimonial home with injuries on her body. This led to the FIR.

4. Though, learned counsel for the petitioner tried to show his innocence, learned APP opposes the prayer submitting that the despite being named in the FIR, he has come before this Court after three years.

6. Considering the submissions of the parties, it would be appropriate that the petitioner seek bail.

7. The anticipatory bail application stands rejected.

8. If, however, the petitioner approaches the Court within four weeks with surrender certificate/bail application, the Court concerned shall take up the matter and dispose it of preferably on the same day.
