The petitioner is in custody since 14.09.2017 in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147/148/149/341/323/326/307/332/333/337/353/ 379 / 342/427/504/120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the informant and others had come for anti-encroachment drive, but certain persons of the area collected there and tried to disrupt the officials. The petitioner has been named as one of those persons who had assembled there. There is no specific allegation of any overtact attributed to the present petitioner.
