The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Sonpur P.S. Case No. 226 of 2019, dated 05.02.2017, instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 379, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant has alleged that while he and his

No.18843 of 2020(2) dt.09-06-2020 2/3 wife were coming back after doing their work, coaccused/Ganesh Mahto along with two others including the petitioner surrounded them and wanted them to deliver the sale proceeds of the meat sold by them. Aforesaid Ganesh Mahto is stated to have stabbed the informant in his abdomen. Other accused persons are said to have assaulted the informant. So far as the petitioner is concerned, he is alleged to have taken away a bag containing Rs. 30,000/- from the possession of the wife of the informant. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that co-accused/Ganesh Mahto @ Banar @ Banar Mahto, who is said to have assaulted the informant and he has been granted bail by a Bench of this Court vide order dated 20.11.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 55050 of 2019. Apart from this, it has been submitted that there is some dispute between the informant and aforesaid Ganesh Mahto and the petitioner has been made accused in this case because of his association with aforesaid Ganesh Mahto.

The petitioner claims to be a person of clean antecedent and is in custody since 20.12.2019.

No.18843 of 2020(2) dt.09-06-2020 3/3 Considering the aforenoted aspects of the matter, the petitioner above-named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran at Chapra in connection with Sonpur P.S. Case No. 226 of 2019.

The application stands allowed.
