Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed as Computer Operator on contractual basis on a fixed remuneration of Rs.15,000/-. The engagement was continued till 2006 on issuance of separate office orders by the respondent-University to that extent. After working for several years, the service of the petitioner along with 12 other employees was terminated.

He further submits that some of the terminated employees filed an appeal before the Chancellor and some of them approached this Court. The services of some of the employees

Patna High Court CWJC No.8832 of 2021 dt.01-08-2024 2/2 who filed appeal before the Chancellor was confirmed by the University by the order of Chancellor.

Considering the aforesaid facts, since the case of the petitioner is similar to the other employees who were terminated, petitioner is directed to file an appeal before the Chancellor within two weeks, along with a copy of this order and other documents in support of his claim and the Office of the Chancellor is well advised to consider the case of the petitioner and dispose of the appeal of the petitioner after affording an opportunity of personal hearing or through his counsel and pass a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law considering that services of similarly situated persons has been regularized by the University by the order of Chancellor.

With the aforesaid directions, this writ application stands disposed of.
