2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though on his statement a First Information Report has been lodged but the statement which he has given to the police has been materially changed at the time of its recording.

3. A perusal of the statement shows that it is written in Hindi. The signatures of the petitioner over the statement are also in Hindi. Still further, there is an endorsement of A.S.I. that the statement has been read over and accepted to be correct.

4. In view of the said fact, to say now that the statement has been changed cannot be accepted.

5. The writ application is, thus, dismissed.
