At the outset, counsel for the petitioners has apprised the Court that he has filed objection under Section 9 of the Bihar and Orissa Public Demands Recovery Act, 1914 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act'). However, no decision has been taken thereon. Admittedly, the authority has the power under Section 10 of the Act to pass orders on the objection filed under Section

We thus dispose off this writ petition with the observation that the authority shall not delay the proceedings any further and it shall dispose off the objection filed under Section 9 of the Act at the earliest by passing a reasoned/speaking order.
