For the Petitioner : Mr. Arun Kumar No. 1, Advocate. For the State : Mr. Ravindra Kumar, AC to AAG-6. =========================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE and HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 09-12-2016 The grievance of the petitioner is that various projects are being raised in the revenue estate of village Narayanpur, but they have been named in the name of another village, namely, Dakshini. Therefore, the residents of village Narayanpur are deprived of the benefits which may accrue to them for appointment, etc. in such projects.
We do not find any merit in the present writ application. If a particular project is within the revenue estate of Village Narayanpur, then how naming it in the name of another village will deprive the people of the village Narayanpur from the
Patna High Court CWJC No.9672 of 2015 dt.09-12-2016 2/2 benefits granted under the various projects.
The writ application appears to be more than of an ego to have the name of the projects in the name of village Narayanpur. We do not find that changing the name of the projects in the name of revenue estate of village Narayanpur is required to be considered by this Court in public interest litigation. If the residents of the village Narayanpur are deprived of the benefits of the projects, which they are entitled to, the residents of that particular village shall be entitled to seek recourse of the legal remedies in accordance with law.
The writ application is, thus, dismissed.
