JUSTICE P. B. BAJANTHRI) Date : 20-04-2024 The present MJC-contempt petition is filed for non-compliance of the order dated 28.01.2022 passed in CWJC No. 732 of 2022. Limited direction is that petitioner was required to submit representation within a period of four weeks from 28.01.2022. Petitioner had submitted representation on

Patna High Court MJC No.701 of 2023 dt.20-04-2024 2/2 18.02.2022. Further concerned respondent was directed to pass reasoned and speaking order on receipt of petitioner's representation within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such representation. The official respondent should have considered the representation read with the orders of this court dated 28.01.2022 on or before 17.06.2022 whereas orders of this court has been complied on 09.04.2024. There is no application for extension of time in CWJC No. 732 of 2022. Therefore, respondents have committed contempt. Instead of initiating contempt of court proceedings, we propose to impose cost of Rs. 10,000/-. Cost shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
