The petitioner is in custody in connection with Katoria P.S. Case No. 158 of 2017, a case under Sections 341, 323, 366, 371, 494, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant claims to have married to the petitioner as second husband and later on dispute arose between two. Allegation against the petitioner is that he sold her to Sanjay Singh, thereafter informant remained with Sanjay Singh as wife. Thereafter, she escaped from there and came to Delhi and then to Bhagalpur where she lodged the case with allegation of commission of assault by the petitioner and others. Considering the background and the nature of allegation,

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.58498 of 2017 (3) dt.09-01-2018 2/2 let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court-below where the case is pending in connection with Katoria Police Station Case No. 158 of 2017 with condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
