JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 02-03-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to appoint the petitioners on Class-III post as per provision provided under Section 3(2) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, as the petitioners are dependant of deceased Shiv Mangal Ram and Manoj Ram who were killed by dacoit at their
Patna High Court CWJC No.15072 of 2014(2) dt.02-03-2023 2/2 house. Both are main bread earner of this family.
(ii) For issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to give adequate compensation of Rs.
5,00,000/- (Five lacs) to their dependant for their livelihood."
After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of the aforesaid grievances.
Liberty so sought is granted.
The writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
