Petitioner is in custody in connection with Mehsi P.S. case No. 107 of 2017 for the offence under sections 304(B)/34, 302/34 and Section 3/4 of the D.P. Act.

Considering the materials including the supplementary affidavit, the Court deem it fit and proper to issue direction to the Court below to expedite the trial.

In the totality of facts situation, the Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of nine months in view of the fact mentioned in the supplementary affidavit.
