JUSTICE KISHORE KUMAR MANDAL ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 20-07-2017 Heard the Counsel for the petitioner and A.C. to G.A.-9 for the State. Counter affidavits have been filed on behalf of the concerned respondents.

Prayer in the writ petition is for a direction commanding the respondents to pay him the amount of G.P.F. as well as Group Insurance amount subscribed by the petitioner. A counter affidavit is filed on behalf of respondent no. 3 wherein it has been stated that steps have been taken to pay the admissible dues to the petitioner under these heads inasmuch as the relevant details have also been sought. In paragraph 6, it has been stated that by a demand draft, a sum of Rs. 13,404/- has been paid to

Patna High Court CWJC No.11176 of 2016 dt.20-07-2017 2/2 the petitioner under the head 'Group Insurance'. This satisfies the claim of the petitioner for payment of Group Insurance amount. Counsel for the petitioner has not disputed the said factum. The G.P.F. amount has, however, not been paid to the petitioner. Counsel for the State submits that all necessary steps have been taken in this regard and the same shall be authorized/paid to the petitioner very soon.

After hearing both the sides and considering the stand taken by the parties, the writ application is disposed of by directing the District Provident Fund Officer, (respondent no. 5) to ensure that admissible dues of the petitioner under the aforesaid head with statutory interest is calculated and authorized/paid as quickly as possible preferably within two months from the date of production of a copy of this order before the said respondent.
