====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE DR. ANSHUMAN ORAL ORDER 20-04-2023 Counsel for the petitioner and counsel for the State are present.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the case has resulted into the dispute between the father and the son. The father is an old aged persons, who is 75 years of age and he seeks protection of his life and property.

Counsel for the State submits that there is special law framed by the Center government and the State government, in this matter.

This Court is of the view that with a view to maintain welfare of parents and senior citizens, Bihar has framed a Rule,

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.621 of 2023(2) dt.20-04-2023 2/2 namely Bihar Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Rules, 2012 and in Rule 21, duties and power of the District Magistrate are there and in the Rule 22, action plan for protection of life and property of Senior Citizens, are mentioned.

It is directed that the petitioner shall represent himself before the Senior Superintendent of Police for the protection of his life and property and Senior Superintendent of Police is directed to do all the needful in accordance with Rule 22, Bihar Maintenance & Welfare of Parents & Senior Citizens Rules, 2012 within four weeks after filing of representation by the petitioner.

With the aforesaid liberty, the present Writ Petition is disposed off.
