The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Taraiya P.S. Case No. 295 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273, 295/34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 30(a)/38/41 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation is regarding recovery of 82 liters of illicit liquor from the house of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the recovery was made when the petitioner was not present in the house, hence it is possible that the illicit liquor was planted in his house and he was falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.62919 of 2017 (2) dt.17-01-2018 2/2 stated to be in custody since 26.9.2017.

Considering the nature of accusation and the period of custody already undergone though I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner, but considering the fact that he is an accused in number of cases of similar nature, I deem it fit and proper to enlarge the petitioner on regular bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. Two lacs) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J. 6th, Saran at Chapra in connection with Taraiya P.S. Case No. 295 of 2016. (Mohit Kumar Shah, J) BTiwary/- U T
