2. By filing the present writ application, the petitioner has sought a direction upon the respondents to grant benefit of financial progression under the Assured Career Progression Scheme with effect from 30.06.1999.

3. Mr. Vinay Kumar Pandey, learned AC to GA 2 furnished a copy of the order showing that the petitioner was inflicted with the punishment of withholding of two increments with cumulative effect.

4. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to assail that order.

5. Considering the fact that no cause of action survives in the present writ application, liberty is granted to the petitioner to assail the order inflicting punishment upon the petitioner in accordance with law.

6. With the aforesaid liberty, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
