The petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 55 of 2018 arising out of Punpun P.S.Case No. 140 of 2018 registered under Sections 20 and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act. Allegation in brief is that one lady was apprehended with Purias of Ganja in total 250 Grams and on her disclosure the petitioner was also apprehended carrying several Purias of Ganja in total 300 Grams.

Submission is that the recovered quantity of Ganja is of small quantity and petitioner has been custody for two months. Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, in particular the small quantity of Ganja, the petitioner, namely, Md. Chand, is directed to be released on bail, after framing of

No.48698 of 2018(2) dt.07-08-2018 2/2 the charge, upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 55 of 2018 arising out of Punpun P.S. Case No. 140 of 2018.
