JUSTICE BIRENDRA KUMAR ORAL ORDER 04-01-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20, 23, 25 and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, 1985 for violation of Section 8 (c) of the Act ibid. More than 200 Kg of Ganja was recovered from the truck which was being driven by the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody since 24.03.2017.

After hearing the parties and considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Hence, prayer is refused. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55990 of 2017 (4) dt.04-01-2018 Accordingly, the application is rejected in connection with Special Case No.05 of 2017 arising out of DRI F.No.DRI/LZU/PRU/718 (II)-Eng-09/2017 pending before the court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Purnea.
