The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Hilsa (Karai Parsurai) P.S. Case No.178 of 1996 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 399, 402, 353 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been submitted that this is a case of misuse of bail. The petitioner was on bail and his bail bond was cancelled on 04.08.2015 as no pairvi was done on that date. The petitioner voluntarily surrendered on getting information about cancellation of his bail bond.

The learned A.P.P. for the State opposed the submission.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.63196 of 2017 (2) dt.11-01-2018 Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer of bail is allowed. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Hilsa, Nalanda in connection with Hilsa (Karai Parsurai) P.S. Case No.178 of 1996 corresponding to Sessions Trial No.425 of 1997.
